A new ZENONIA 1 file starts with a class pick, a walk through Ayles, and a look at the Adonis region. The Steam Next Fest demo that taught thousands of players those first rooms is not a trial of the 31 August 2026 SKU: it lasts about one hour, it stops just before Investigating the Cave of Deceit, and its save files do not load in the full release. Treat the demo as a historical hour, then pack a fresh file for Regret’s full journey.

Watch on SteamClass pick and the town the achievements name

Steam store about text gives each class one sentence and no skill tree. Warrior is balanced and resilient. Paladin is defensive and reliable. Assassin is fast and lethal. Localized store pages repeat those identities as Guerrier, Guerrero, You cannot reverse the pick with a demo save, because those saves never enter the full SKU.
Achievement First Steps on the Earth says every corner of Ayles remembers you. Ayles Tourist says enough sightseeing — time to start swinging that sword. Together they are the first-party spelling of the starting town. Siliconera’s demo article adds that the early game leaves Ayles. Walk the town, talk, and do not treat Fandom location lists as Steam geography unless an achievement or a dev note repeats the name.
The official screenshot that opens this page names Dupre in a dialogue box: All forces, advance! That battlefield is story setup, not a numbered tutorial. The HUD stills you will see after Ayles keep the flask, weight hammer, and clock; pack food and watch weight before you treat Adonis as an infinite warehouse.
Adonis, one hour, Cave of Deceit

Official demo about text and the Next Fest dev note agree on scope. You get approximately one hour of gameplay. You may freely explore the Adonis region. You play up to just before Investigating the Cave of Deceit. Achievement Expanding Horizons of Adventure calls it the land of Adonis. That is the entire first-party map of the demo: a region name, a cutoff quest title, and a time budget.
Cave of Deceit is therefore the first quest the full release owns that the demo does not. If you are still in Ayles when the hour feels short, you have not yet used the open Adonis window. If you are standing on the Cave of Deceit prompt, you have reached the wall the dev team published. Stop there in the demo; continue there only in the 31 August SKU.
The demo store name is ZENONIA Demo, type demo, is_free true, linked fullgame ZENONIA 1 (4538960), Windows-only. It released 14 June 2026. Do not mix that date with 31 August 2026 or with 28 August 2008. Four versions, four statuses: current Steam, historical demo, historical mobile, upcoming unlisted Switch.
Demo saves, Quick Save, no mouse
The 31 August launch notice states save files from the Demo version are not compatible with the full release. There is no hidden converter in the captured news feed. If you spent the Next Fest hour on a file you like, screenshot the class and the town; start over in the paid SKU. Quick Save is the full-release substitute, including on gamepad. Autosave is marked Not Possible Right Now in the same feedback review that rejected full mouse control because of the game’s structure.
Steam lists Keyboard Only Option and Full controller support. The restoration restored original-style double-tap dash and dash afterimage after demo feedback. None of that changes the save wall. Pack the six steps above, then buy or launch the Windows SKU if you want Regret’s ending, the good/evil achievements, and the lands the demo never reaches: Lamis Forest, Leo, Hades, Oasis Dungeon, Shrine of Despair.
Hive support is the official channel for account and billing issues: customer.withhive.com/com2usholdings and help@com2us.com. This wiki cannot move a demo file into the full game.
What the full SKU adds after the demo wall
Launch news says the full version continues to the conclusion of Regret’s journey, far beyond the demo. Store copy still promises hundreds of item tiers and combined skills, gear, and growth, without publishing an item encyclopedia. Achievements that name Lamis Forest, Hades, Leo, Oasis Dungeon, and the Shrine of Despair sit on the other side of Investigating the Cave of Deceit.
Good Deeds, Good Seeds and Bad Seeds, Bad Deeds are ending-shaped achievements, not demo trophies. If you only have the Next Fest hour, you will not see those names pop. Plan the morality path in the full file, not in a save that will be discarded.
Compare official class blurbs on Classes, pack hunger and weight on Hunger, Weight & Clock, and keep the four versions straight on Steam Release. The full SKU also ships the PC convenience list from the Next Fest feedback review — Quick Save, double-tap dash, equipment compare, batch repair, volume sliders — none of which import a demo file. If you only have an hour, spend it on Ayles and Adonis; if you have the $8.99 Windows build, keep walking past Investigating the Cave of Deceit toward the lands the achievement list already named.
Frequently asked questions
Do demo saves carry into the full game?
No. The official launch notice for ZENONIA 1 states that save files from the Demo version are not compatible with the full release. There is no converter in the captured Steam news. Start a new file on the 31 August 2026 Windows SKU if you want Regret’s full journey, and treat the Next Fest hour as practice for the class pick, Ayles, and Adonis.
How much of ZENONIA 1 is in the demo?
Official demo about text and the Next Fest dev note describe about one hour of gameplay, free exploration of the Adonis region, and a hard stop just before Investigating the Cave of Deceit. That is the entire first-party scope. Towns and dungeons named only in later achievements are not part of the demo hour.
